Cleveland Soccer Team Coming in 2025!

Cleveland sports fans, we have some exciting news for you… Expect a new professional sports team to arrive in 2025! Part of the MLS Next Pro league, Cleveland is receiving a soccer team in addition to our other professional sports. 

As many soccer fans know, MLS Next Pro is a men’s professional soccer league and is spread throughout the United States and Canada. In fact, the league is part of the third tier of the United States soccer league system. The league launched this year with 21 teams total, however, they’re planning to increase to 28 teams in 2023. To sum it up, the MLS Next Pro league begins kicking off from the spring season in March to Fall. Every team plays 24 regular season games, which are then followed by an 8 team playoff tournament. The addition of 9 more teams in 2023, including Cleveland’s, has soccer fans hungry for this upcoming season!

Cleveland Soccer Team Set to Debut in 2025

The day the World Cup kicked off, the Cleveland Soccer Group announced that there is a new professional soccer league heading to Cleveland! It is set to debut in 2025 and the team’s name, colors, and logo are to be announced. An exciting topic in the talks right now is the future site for the stadium and training facility. Michael Murphy and Nolan Gallagher, Cleveland Soccer Group co founders, are hoping to build a club tightly focused on winning championships, serving the community, as well as entertaining all their fans.
